The YMCA of Selma-Dallas County is excited to announce that we will be hosting the Family Fun Day and Back to School Giveaway in conjunction with the Michael D. Johnson Foundation, on Saturday, July 24th from 11am-4pm at the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County. 

 

The Michael D. Johnson Foundation and the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County are joining forces once again to bring to you an experience like no other! Our annual Back to School Bash has become a staple event in our community, where families are invited to enjoy a day of fun while receiving the necessary school supplies needed to have a successful school year. With this being a family event, there will be something for everyone. Families will have the opportunity to play various carnival games, bounce houses, water slides, giant Connect Four tournament, BINGO, compete in the PS4 Gaming Tournament, take photos in our interactive photo booth, and enjoy delicious food from local vendors.

This year's Back to School Giveaway is slated to be bigger and better than ever. Understanding the need in our community, and with the goal of servicing our community as a whole, our focus is to impact as many families as possible. It is through the help of generous donors and sponsors who help make this possible. By pulling together our efforts and resources, our goal is to serve over 1,000 people during our Back to School Giveaway.

Vendors
Interested in being a vendor during the day? Vendor packets are available at the YMCA and will be available until Wednesday, July 16th. Local vendors are encouraged to attend and sell their goods, as a way to promote their business, but also add more attractions to the day. 

​

There is a $75 Vendor Application Fee that covers the cost of the Selma City vendor permit as well as the YMCA Facility Service Fee. All Vendor Applications and Fees must be submitted by Wednesday, July 16th. 50/50 Giveaway 

As an added bonus to the day's festivities, we will also be doing a 50/50 Split-the-Pot Giveaway. Tickets are $5 per ticket. At the conclusion of the event, we will draw a ticket and the winning ticket will get half of all money raised in the 50/50 Giveaway. Our goal is to raise $5,000, which will leave the winner walking away with $2,500! Tickets can be purchased from before hand at the YMCA, the Coffee Shoppe, or from any Event Volunteer. 50/50 Giveaway Tickets will also be sold during the event. There is no limit to the amount of tickets you can purchase. Remember, the more tickets you purchase, the more chances you have of winning and the larger the prize pot grows.
